Vibrating colors reflect the re-emergence of techno-rave culture: thumping music, flashing lights, and hallucinations. But there is magic here too.  Colors at once joyful and sinister seem to hint at something older than time. A spirit buried within that won’t allow the blackness to engulf us, won’t let the body stop moving. This dance is a spell, this music is a potion, and these lights are our spirits dancing in the dark.

    It is interesting creating forecasts, because you really have to understand cultural forces that don’t necessarily reflect your own personal experience.

    Just for the record: I don’t go to raves or do drugs. I am also an atheist, so I don’t believe in magic. However, I am drawn to these concepts as archetypes/aesthetic themes used in storytelling and fashion.
